Photoshop filters plugins from Harry

Harry has been at it again, and has updated his "Harrys Filters for Windows" to version 4.0. We've talked about these filters before -- it's a free Photoshop-compatible plugin offering 69 image effects. Harrys Filters can be used with dozens of different image editing applications, e.g. Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop Pro, Photo-Paint, IrfanView and many others.

End crooked photos

We really have to ask ourselves if this is really necessary -- but the idea is so novel, I had to include it here. Hunter Research has come up with a concept called gyroCam. This camera app has a killer new feature: it automatically levels photos in real time, while shooting. With gyroCam, users don't need to worry about crooked aim or setting up and taking level shots - the app does it for them. gyroCam brings a true point-and-shoot capability to iOS devices, and makes photography easier and more fun.

Adding Frames and Borders in Photoshop

This tutorial offers two basic strategies to add borders to your images. The two strategies represent two distinct logics of achieving the same result: (1) creating a mat above your image and cutting out an opening in it to see the underlying image, or (2) modifying the canvas that underlies your image.
