Last month's "Flaming Text in Photoshop" inspiration page was very hot -- as we predicted -- the third most popular page in the site for March, with more than 60,000 visits! So, we thought we would hurry up and get the second flaming, sparkling, burning, magma, inferno typography text effects page installed! So, here's yet ANOTHER dirty dozen inferno tutorials that will ignite you on fire!

this one is from Colis, author of Psdtuts+ -- very little is known about Colis, since there's no 'about' page or further information ... we think it's part of ENVATO in Victoria, Australia.

While not necessarily about "flames" this 3D text effect using different textures will provide a unique look with Xsara3D and Photoshop. (Very slow loader, lots of screen spam, difficult to find the link to the 2nd page avoiding ad links.)

This one utilizes a totally different approach to generating a magma-like text effect with just a few simple steps. It's not that convincing as "magma" but just the same creates a unique effect.

After that last one, we thought we would include this one by Steve Patterson. This is another Adobe Photoshop tutorial with a slightly different angle. Author sez: "We're going to see how to engulf text in an explosion of light and color."

And now the bad news :
Photoshop madness ... it is a jungle out thereBe careful what you click -- beware of malware and phishing sites You'll remember warnings about watching your steps when attending some of these tutorials -- unfortunately one of this slate's listings came from one of those very popular "Photoshop Tutorial" replicator sites, except this one fell off the radar during March. Yes, it's no longer there, now redirected to a revenue parking page with pay-ola links to spam indexes. I don't know if this is truly the intent of the author, but it's a common practice among the domainer industry to build up traffic for a domain and then suddenly switch to a pure spam parking page to exploit the traffic and all the link-backs. If you search for Photoshop tutorials in Google, chances are you'll land on this page. Remember: it's a jungle out there!
... and ... thanks for reading
