We've survived three very hot, hot, hot months, along with three flaming editions of Photoshop Flaming Text Effects, and now it's time to cool down a bit for the 16th Annual Fonts Festival. Of course, Photoshop Madness cannot be left out -- in this edition we'll create two movie posters, one from the Avatar Movie, and the other from the Deadliest Catch. Then we enjoy the ubiquitous Aqua Text Effect (again), and delve into Photoshop's Displacement Mapping. We'll wrap it up with a serving of Ice cream and several others!

Adobe Illustrator tutorial : Briefcase

The new O.S. Windows 7 has improved aesthetics to make the user interface at least more appealing. There are huge ultra detailed icons for folders, devices and so on. This time we will use Illustrator CS4 to create a nice briefcase with the Windows 7 style. You need only a few basics on how to copy, paste, rotate, scale and color the shapes. Let's focus on business.

Last month's "Flaming Text in Photoshop" inspiration page was very hot -- so we're doing it again! Here is the last in our series of HOT text effects for Photoshop users. There was another page, but unfortunately of all the tutorials we've collected, six of the websites no longer exist, or have been converted into revenue parking sites. As we've said many times before, that's a familiar new ploy of domainers: build up traffic by 'borrowing' content from other sites, and then switch to revenue link farms. Oh well. They're gone.

Beware: Photoshop Stalkers

This is a sad story. Sad, because sooner or later -- just for a few pennies -- the internet profiteers and cyber criminals are going to ruin it for everyone else. Now, not only are the Photoshop Tutorial replicator sites loading up with screen spam, stalker links, and layer after layer of roll-over blink ads and pop-unders -- something else is going on!
